WPIAL Girls Soccer Quarterfinals Scoreboard

It was a very wet Wednesday, but despite the heavy rain tonight at times, the WPIAL Girls Soccer playoffs went on as scheduled.

All of the Class A games finished early, with Shady Side Academy, Greensburg Central Catholic, Charleroi and Freedom advancing.
In Class AA early games, South Park trailed Highlands, 1-0, at the half, but stormed back on the strength of two goals scored a couple a minutes apart in the 2nd half.  They will take on South Fayette in one of the semifinals on Monday night, as South Fayette were 1-0 winners over Mount Pleasant (Trib Game story here).  The two late games had Central Valley and Mars advancing with easier wins.
In Class AAA, all of the high seeds advanced, except #2 Canon-McMillan were knocked off by #7 Fox Chapel, 2-1.

And so there it is — we have the Final 4 in each Girls classification.  The Semifinal games will be played on Monday, November 2 at sites to be determined by the WPIAL.
