On Tuesday, the United States Women’s National Team, including Pine-Richland grad Meghan Klingenberg, were honored at the White House for winning their third World Cup title.
The ceremony became a forum for Obama to applaud the USWNT for doing thier part to promote and lead the growth of participation in sports for girls.  President Obama was introduced by 13-year-old Ayla Ludlow, who read a letter she wrote to the president in which she described her brother mocking girls for playing sports.
