At first glance, a 1-1 road draw last Saturday for the Riverhounds against one of the USL’s hottest teams could be seen as a respectable result.
However, having scored only six goals in the past nine league games, it was yet another game in which the Hounds, now 5-7-6, squandered chances — and this time against an opponent in a terrible predicament, with Bethlehem Steel FC needing to suit up seven players from their academy, including a 16-year-old goalkeeper.
Be sure to read my complete feature that includes an interview with Hounds coach Dave Brandt, who I caught up with on Wednesday — Hounds seek formula to fix finishes in final third – at DK Pittsburgh Sports.
