From University of Pittsburgh athletic department report
Pitt women’s soccer team dropped its final regular season road game Sunday afternoon, falling to No. 18 Florida State by a score of 2-1 in Tallahassee, Fla.
Florida State struck first, taking a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute as Dallas Dorosy scored her sixth goal of the season.
With less than five minutes remaining in the first half, Pitt would tie it up on a goal by Sarah Krause, her first of the season. Hanna Hannesdottir tallied the assist as the Panthers went into the break tied at 1-1 with the Seminoles.
Early in the second half, an own goal would give Florida State the lead, as they would hang on for the remainder of the contest to capture a 2-1 victory.
Offensively, Krause’s goal was the only shot on goal for the Panthers, as both Taylor Pryce and Christiana Davey recorded a pair of shots. Amaia Pena got her third start of the season in net, allowing two goals and making six saves.
