Hannah Henn

Oakland Catholic

Hannah finished the regular season with an impressive 22 goals.

During a five-game in seven day stretch in October, Hannah scored 10 goals, with at least one in each game — all wins.

Hannah’s been a driving force behind Oakland Catholic’s resurgent, Section title season which they’ve reeled off 14 consecutive wins and finished unbeaten in section play. Along with undefeated Mars, Oakland Catholic are one of the favorites in Girls Class 3A playoffs. The only game Oakland Catholic lost was its first game of year at one of the top teams in Class 4A – Seneca Valley.

The senior from Norwin eclipsed the Knights’ career goals record as he reached 65 this week after a two-goal night in a 6-0 shutout of rival Penn-Trafford and then tacked on another one on Tuesday, in Norwin’s 12-1 win over Penn Hills.

Matt Hayden held the previous mark of 63 since 1999. Breen has nearly half of his goals — 33 — this season for the Section 3-AAAA champion Knights (15-1-1), who are among the top seeds in the WPIAL Boys 4A playoffs which begin on Monday.
