Saturday’s ‘City Game’ men’s soccer clash between Pitt and Duquesne moved up to 4 p.m.

The renewal of the ‘City Game’ between Pitt and Duquesne men’s soccer teams scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27 will now be played at 4 p.m. The match was originally scheduled for 7 p.m.

The match will be the first this spring for both Pitt and Duquesne.

Pitt was originally scheduled to play Georgetown (Feb. 13) and Akron (Feb. 20) at home, but COVID concerns within the Hoya program and unplayable field conditions last weekend forced both games to be called off. The Akron match has been postponed, with no make-up date set at this time.

The Panthers finished 7-1 and earned a trip to the ACC Championship Final during the fall season. Including Duquesne, the Panthers are scheduled to play seven games this spring.

This will be the first time Pitt has played city rival Duquesne in a regular season match since Sept. 16, 2012. The Panthers last played them in an exhibition Aug. 17, 2019.
