QUICK RECAP
Noah Hutchins scored the game’s lone goal in the 48th minute to give No. 17 Kentucky a 1-0 win over Duquesne in Lexington. UK’s Jordan Wilson served the ball to the top of the box where the ball ricocheted off a Duquesne defender to Hutchins who took a quick touch to his left and put it by Evan Kozlowski from about 13 yards out.
UK’s All-American candidate Napo Matsoso was taken down in the box in the 70th minute, but his low left penalty kick was punched away by Kozlowski who finished with three saves.
Olav Hovstad, Chris Alescio and Diego Vieira were credited with two shots each for the Dukes. Vieira and freshman Ryan Landry had DU’s two shots on goal – both of which came in the final five minutes of the first half. Kentucky, which outshot Duquesne 17-8, finished with four shots on goal. The Wildcats had nine corner kicks to eight for the Dukes.
