Girls WPIAL quarterfinal games will be played Thursday, October 27.    Locations and times are listed below.
One note I wanted to mention, with the addition of a fourth classification, Girls teams are adjusting to a different schedule than in the past.  According to the WPIAL brackets, girls teams that advance this week will have to grind out playing three games in six days (playing Monday, Thursday, Saturday schedule), with just one day between the quarterfinals and semifinals.  The boys at least have extra days between each game (playing Saturday, Wednesday, Saturday schedule) through the first three rounds.
I am sure that WPIAL tournament officials had to work around field availability and other logistical challenges, it seems like it would have worked better to move the Girls semifinal games to Monday, as had been done in the past with the boys, but I am not sure if the WPIAL were concerned about conflicts with Halloween night.
Although fitness shouldn’t be too much of an issue at this point in the season, quality depth of rosters and injuries could test the girls teams and be factor as the week progresses.
