Hounds battle OCB to scoreless draw

It was a hard earned road point for the Hounds, who really cleaned things up defensively, but again, could not convert on the few chances they had including a few dangerous looks in the late stages of the match.
In the 90th minute, Hounds captain Kevin Kerr snuck behind the OCB defense — taking advantage of a sloppy pass, took possession, then tried to chip it over goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr. who was off his line.  Kerr’s chip hit the top of the bar.
Moments later, Corey Hertzog, who came into the match as sub for Romeo Parkes, received a ball into the box from Taylor Washington.  With an open look from the center of the box, Hertzog’s shot sailed left of the post.
OCB also had a few close calls in their final third in the second half, including Hadji Berry’s header in the far post area that hit the post.

 
OCB held lopsided possession advantage (68% to 32%), but the Hounds ended up with more shots (9-7), as they did a decent job of creating counter chances.
It was the second straight clean sheet for Keasel Broome in net for the Hounds.
The Hounds may have also started the second half of the season with a center back pairing that they can build around with Tobi Adewole joining Jamal Jack to help the Hounds post the shutout.  It was also the second straight clean sheet with Hounds veteran Mike Green on the back line at right back.
