The Hounds arrived a day ahead of time, and did some light training in a familiar spot — the Skyline Soccer Complex next to FNB Field.
For detailed look at this game, as both teams look to not only end their respective winless streaks — but also battle to claim the Cup — here’s my feature in Friday’s DK Pittsburgh Sports – Frustrated Hounds seek season boosting win in Derby finale.

“It would be awesome to bring back the Cup back to Pittsburgh again,” Kevin Kerr, team captain, said. “It would also give us a much needed boost coming down the stretch.

On Friday, the Hounds arrived in Harrisburg and did some light training on the field where the City Islanders once played its home games on City Island in Harrisburg, located next to their current home field at FNB Field.
The last game ever played on that field, the Hounds captured the first ever edition of the Keystone Derby Cup and earned a spot in the USL playoffs in 2015 in the last game of the season.

For the fourth consecutive year, I’ve made the trek to Harrisburg to cover the season finale between these two rivals to provide coverage.
