2nd half

46′ – Right after kickoff, Hounds get forward quickly and it’s Noah Franke with a run down left side — beats Brad Bourgeois to ball and gets a shot off — but right at Matt Pickens.

47′ – Taylor Washington gets in box for Nashville — but right footed shot attempt blocked by Hugh Roberts.

54′ – Hounds concede corner — as Hugh Roberts can’t handle ball played his way near corner. Bolu Akinyode gets a header on the ball in — but misses the frame to the right.

55′ – Yellow card goes to Matt LaGrassa

61′ – another hard challenge — this time it’s Hounds Ray Lee the guilty party — picks up yellow card for coming in late.

64′ – Hounds earn corner as Franke gets loose a bit — and shot deflected. Adewole is Holland’s target by far post — but ball slightly over big fella’s head or he mistimed his jump

66′ – Hounds bring reinforcements — first two subs…

Kevin Kerr and Romeo Parkes IN
Noah Franke and Joe Holland OUT

68′ – Washington ball to center of box to Moloto — header attempt from way out misses left.

69′ –

GOAL – Nashville

After corner is set up on a dangerous sequence that Dan Lynd had to make a quick reaction save, Nashville capitalizes on corner chance.

It was Brandon Allen who finishes it after ball is knocked around the box.

75′ – Forbes with a stinging ball in but Parkes misses getting his head on it.

77′ – Another close chance for Hounds ball in from left side on target almost crosses up Pickens. Looked like Lee’s ball in. Pickens with save. Hounds can’t generate shot on ensuring corner.

79′ – another ball in for Hounds on target that Pickens extends to punch away near bar.

83′ – Dennis Chin is final sub for Hounds. In for Connor Maloney.

83′ – Hounds corner attempt connects to Parkes — who sticks his left foot out — and redirects it to the side netting

1st half

1′ – Hounds open match in a 4-1-4-1 but Thomas Vancaeyezeele is sitting very deep — right between center backs Tobi Adewole and Hugh Roberts

6′ – Forbes with decent run down left side — finds Neco Brett in the box — but his turnaround then shot attempt is no where close

8′ – Brett with some serious high pressure on Nashville SC GK Matt Pickens after a back pass and gets a touch on it as they converge but it’s cleared away

15′ – both teams very methodical through 15 minutes. Hounds keeping it more.

20′ – Hounds get it into final third — Forbes finds Noah Franke at top of box with some room. But first-year player can’t pull trigger quick enough. Shot attempt weakly goes to right of goal.

25′ – Joe Holland with some nice first touch — latest spun ball off side of his foot and over defender as Franke makes run toward box. Nashville closes down the attacking chance though

29′ – Hounds win first corner. It doesn’t amount to much though.

33′ – Ropapa Mensah came off the field injured — so former Hound Lebo Moloto is now in the game as Nashville’s first sub

43′ – Nice ball in from Connor Maloney — low liner sets up a corner chance taken by Holland. Ball to near post right to Hugh Roberts but it redirects along outside box and cleared away 43′

43′ – Taylor Washington with yellow card going in for a tackle on his pal Adewole. Former rivals and teammates Hounds battling hard

44′ – Vancaeyezeele with a golden header chance by far post on ball in, but misses it wide left

45′ – Holland gets a free kick opportunity from 35 yards — and sends it over the right corner.
