Under the direction of new coach Randy Waldrum, Pitt’s women’s soccer has added another new recruit in preparations for the 2018 season.
The latest addition is Brazilian defender/midfielder Larissa Caldas to the 2018 incoming class.
Caldas joins the Panthers after a two-year stint at Iowa Central Community College, where she started 24 contests with the Tritons.
“We are excited to have Larissa join the Pitt women’s soccer family,” said Waldrum. “Her international experience will help our young team progress forward as we build our program to national prominence. Larissa’s experience on and off the field will be a valuable and welcomed addition.”
In her tenure in Iowa, Caldas tallied 14 goals and eight assists for 36 points. She was named to the 2017 All-NJCAA Region XI team as well as the All-Tournament team that season. She also earned All-Region recognition as a rookie in 2016.
