Welcome to the WPIAL girls soccer scoreboard for Wednesday, October 9.

The Pittsburgh Soccer Now crew including John Krysinsky, Matt Harkins and Ed Thompson made the trip down to Washington County, to Ellsworth, PA, to be exact, to catch the Class 1A, Section 2 showdown between Bentworth and Chartiers-Houston.

Matt Harkins will be providing much more in a separate recap of the thriller that needed to be decided in extra time, where Jocelyn Timlin burst behind Chartiers-Houston’s back line on a feed from Paige Marshalek’s over the top pass to score her third of the match. It was a back-and-forth affair, with Bentworth responding each time Char-Houston took the lead on shots from distance from Lexi Durkac.
