Junior Edward Kizza and freshman Arturo Ordonez of the University of Pittsburgh men’s soccer team were named to the 2019 ACC All-Tournament Team as announced by the league Sunday.
Kizza and Ordonez become the first Pitt players to be named to the ACC All-Tournament Team following the Panthers’ run in the ACC Tournament.
Pitt was knocked out by No. 1 Clemson Wednesday, Nov. 13, dropping a 1-0 decision to the top seed. Clemson would lose in the final, 3-1, to Virginia on Sunday.
Kizza, a two-time All-ACC First Team selection, is tied for second in the Pitt record book for career goals (30) and leads the team this season in points (26) and goals (11). Kizza has three double-scoring games and has found the back of the net on eight occasions.
Ordonez, an All-Freshman Team selection, has played a major role in the Panthers’ success this season as a defender. The freshman has started in 16 games this season, logging 1,411 minutes.
