While the University of Pittsburgh football team has been on campus, starting its offseason workout programs last week, athletic director Heather Lyke announced earlier this week the next phase of the athletic department’s return to competition will include student-athletes from the men’s and women’s soccer teams, among others, coming back to campus beginning June 29.
“We are excited to have our men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball student-athletes returning to campus June 29,” Lyke said in a press release.
“We remain committed to our guiding principle – the health and well-being of our student-athletes and staff – as we continue to implement the campus return plan that we worked diligently with University leadership and medical experts to develop.”
