NPSL Members Cup gives Pittsburgh Hotspurs some 2020 competition

The Hotspurs played Cleveland FC to a 2-2 draw in the opener.

The match between Pittsburgh and Cleveland was a back-and-forth affair, with current Duquesne University rising sophomore and former West Allegheny standout Nathan Dragisich scoring the equalizer in the late moments, his second of the match.

The Hotspurs squad for Friday night’s match consisted mostly of current college players, along with one Pittsburgh-area veteran and former Riverhounds SC midfielder Nicky Kolarac.

Here’s the line-up selections for the match.

The Hotspurs will play one more match in the Members Cup on Wednesday, against the hosts, Erie Commodores, who lost to FC Buffalo  3-2 in the nightcap at McConnell Family Stadium.

The Members Cup continues, Wednesday, July 29 at Hagerty Family Events Center in Erie, PA.

Erie vs. Pittsburgh will kick off at 6:00 pm, followed by Cleveland and Buffalo at 7:45 pm.
