We are proud to share Pittsburgh Soccer Now’s WPIAL Boys Soccer Player of the Week honoree for Week two of the 2020 season….

Eben McIntyre

(Junior – Charleroi – Midfielder)

Pittsburgh Soccer Now‘s WPIAL Boys Player of the Week

(week 2 – Sept. 20-26)

In a busy stretch of five games in seven days, Eben McIntyre scored an impressive 11 goals and three assists in leading the unbeaten Charleroi boys soccer team (8-0, 6-0 in section) to the top of Class 2A, Section 3 standings.

Last week, McIntyre completed back-to-back hat tricks. In 38 career high school games, the junior midfielder has scored a total of 69 goals and added 30 assists.  He spent a long-time training and playing with the Riverhounds Development Academy, and has since been a part of Century United’s ’03 Boys team coached by Ryan Kelly.

Eben also carries a 3.9 grade point average, has volunteered to support youth soccer players from his home town all the way to Polokwane, South Africa and is a skilled trombonist who earned PMEA District 1 West Band honors during his sophomore year..

Charleroi Head Coach Jon Ducoli on McIntyre:

“Eben is a multidimensional player, He is able to find the back of the net being covered by more than one opponent. But his talents do not stop there. He finds ways to dish the ball off to his teammates and isn’t afraid to track back and help in our defending third. He holds such a leadership role for our team. He is able to fire up the boys when needed and also calm nerves. He is a leader on and off the field. There aren’t too many coaches that have the pleasure and honor to have a player like that on their team. Under pressure Eb is cool and collected. He is able to take constructive criticism well and fixes what needs changed.”
