On Monday November 9, 2020 the foundation will announce the three finalists for 2020. The Moe Rosensteel Player of the Year Award winner will be announced on Monday November 22, 2020, following the PIAA finals.

Through this award the Panel, the Foundation and Rosensteel Family look to keep Moe’s love for the game of soccer alive and part of Western Pennsylvania High School Soccer. Nominating and awarding a player whose dedication and love for the game symbolizes the values that made Moe the special person she was on and off the field

Last year our inaugural award from the Kaitlyn “Moe” Rosensteel Scholarship Foundation awarded Ellie Coffield (Mars Senior High School) as the Moe Rosensteel Player of the Year. Eva Frankovich (Norwin Senior High School) and Sarah Schupansky (North Allegheny Senior High School) were awarded as finalist for the award.

Inaugural Kaitlyn ‘Moe’ Rosensteel Most Outstanding Player of the Year: Ellie Coffield (Mars High School)

The award honors Kaitlyn “Moe” Rosensteel.

Moe loved the game of soccer and got to meet so many great people along the way. Moe was able to compete for district titles with and against her friends. She understood the special relationships that playing high school soccer built and the effort that goes into it no matter what classification. Knowing that your soccer family will always be with you and some day you will look back on those long bus rides with your teammates, the training, game day and what that represented in your journey.

The winner will be chosen from a panel of people who are connected to girls high school soccer in Western Pennsylvania and had a relationship with Moe or the Rosensteel family through soccer.

The establishment of this award is to also help with the continued growth in girls’ soccer and bring more light to the great young women who play this game for their school and community.
