They were hoping for another game to its abbreviated Spring 2021 schedule, and lo and behold, Pitt women’s soccer team has added a home game against Kentucky Monday, March 29 at 2 p.m., head coach Randy Waldrum announced Tuesday.

The matchup with the Wildcats serves as the regular season finale for the Panthers and replaces the March 21 game at Marshall, which was cancelled and previously announced due to the Thundering Herd rescheduling a conference game for March 22.

With a win over Kentucky, Pitt (10-5-0) can set the school record for most wins in a single-season. The two teams have never played each other.

Playing strictly SEC competition in the fall, Kentucky went 1-5-3 with three games against opponents currently ranked in the top-25 and five versus schools receiving votes. This scheduled game opens the spring season for the Wildcats.
