WPIAL Class 4A Girls Soccer Playoff Bracket: Can anyone stop a North Allegheny 3-peat?

First Round – All games to be played on Monday, October 25 

There is always so much talent across the board in Class 4A girls soccer that it would seem to be impossible for any school to win three straight WPIAL titles.  This year, North Allegheny girls are in excellent position to do it again, as they are going to be the top seed heading into the 13-team field.  Head coach Bill Pfeiffer’s return to Moon has been a successful one so far, as the Tigers have taken the top spot in a section that has produced a few PIAA champions in recent years. In his last stint at Moon, Pfeiffer led the Tigers to back-to-back WPIAL and PIAA titles in 2016 and 2017.  It’s been an impressive campaign for Latrobe, who knocked off the periennial front-runners, Norwin, in their section. The question is, how good and how far can Latrobe go in the playoffs?  And what about Butler, who came close a bunch of times last year in challenging North Allegheny.

    • 7 Butler vs 10 Mt. Lebanon
    • 6 Peters Twp vs 11 Pine-Richland
  • Quarterfinal Round     Thursday, October 28
    • Latrobe vs Peters Twp/Pine-Richland winner
    • North Allegheny vs Fox Chapel/Bethel Park winner
    • Moon vs Butler/Mt. Lebanon winner
    • Seneca Valley/Penn-Trafford winner vs Norwin/North Hills winner
  • Semifinal Round          Monday, November 1
  • Final                             Friday/Saturday, November 5-6 (TBA)

PIAA Playoffs — brackets announced on Sunday, November 7 — with first round to begin Tuesday, November 9
