WPIAL Girls Class 2A Quarterfinal Round Schedule

The WPIAL girls soccer playoffs resumed Saturday with Class 2A quarterfinal round matches, with Avonworth, Southmoreland, Shady Side and North Catholic advancing.

Quarterfinal Round – Saturday, October 30

FINAL	Shady Side 1, Quaker Valley 0
FINAL	Southmoreland 1, Mt. Pleasant 0
FINAL	Avonworth 3, South Park 1

Semifinal Round – Tuesday, November 2, 2021

• Shady Side Academy (5) vs North Catholic (1)
• Avonworth (6) vs Southmoreland (2)

Championship at Highmark Stadium – Saturday, November 6, 2021 – 11 a.m.

Matches in Girls Class 2A kickoff at Noon on Saturday, and at 1 p.m. there will be rematch of the 2019 WPIAL Final that went to overtime, between North Catholic and Yough.

The team to beat in this classification is clearly North Catholic, the defending, two-time champions.  Leading the Trojans for one last go-around is Jayden Sharpless.
