UPSL Playoff-bound Pittsburgh City United FC (7-2-2) defeated Athletic United (2-0-9), 12-0 on their final regular season home game of the 2021 season at UPMC Graham Field Stadium, Saturday Night.
The game opened up with a goal from Mathew Teitelbaum, from a strong cross from Ibrahim Kayoute in the 17th minute, one of four assists on the night for the City United midfielder.
Soon after, a pair of goals by Jett Blaschka and Christian Kapanda followed by Teitelbaum’s second goal to give the hosts a 6-0 lead at the break.

Athletic United, coming off a 4-1 victory over Western Ville, started the second half down to 10 players due to injuries and City United continued its onslaught with another half dozen goals, Two of those came from Ndayisenga Emmanuel, followed by hat trick from Jett Blaschka, Mathew Teitelbaum, and Christian Kapanda, as well as the first goal of the season from Jake Woodruff.
City United will now prepare for their final regular season game against Baltimore United in Baltimore, with a slim chance if results go in their favor to win the regular season division.
The team will be back at UPMC Graham Field Stadium the following Wednesday the UPSL Beltway North Divsion semifinal playoff match.
