PSN’s John Krysinsky welcomes Rob Vincent and Nick Noble, as they talk about their experiences playing in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, commonly known as the U.S. Open Cup, a knockout cup competition in men’s American soccer. It is the oldest ongoing national soccer competition in the United States.
This week, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC will return to play in the Open Cup for the first time since 2019, when they host Maryland Bobcats FC in a second round match, on Tuesday evening (7 p.m. kickoff) at Highmark Stadium.
Vincent scored the game winner for the Riverhounds SC in May 2015, to lead the Hounds to advance to the fourth round where they would face his (then) future club DC United.

Former Harrisburg City Islanders keeper Nick Noble also joins the discussion to talk about his experiences with the City Islanders, who scored multiple upsets of MLS teams including a memorable come-from-behind win against New England Revolution in 2012.
Each guest relive the madness from their playing days as participants in the U.S. Open Cup, as amatuer and professional teams from lower leagues and the highest levels of men’s soccer in the United States soccer pyramid face off against each other in a one-and-done format.
