The WPIAL Girls Soccer playoffs got underway on Saturday, with a full schedule for Class 1A and the preliminary game in Class 3A.

The top two seeds in Class 1A are Freedom and Springdale advanced without too much trouble.

The preliminary match in Class 3A featured Penn-Trafford defeating Connellsville, 3-1. Now, on Monday, P-T will have to turn around and take on Mars.
