This is Walti’s third consecutive season on the second team, serving as captain in the midfield for the Panthers. Functioning mainly as a defensive midfielder, Walti, led his team to six clean sheets and held opposing teams to just 1.10 goals per game in 2022. Walti also holds the program record for minutes played, as he is currently at 8,599, and a program record for 96 appearances with 93 starts since 2018.

Jacquesson also earns a spot on the second team for the third straight season. He mainly plays on the wing and has scored five goals, made three assists and 13 points for Pitt this year. He and Walti are responsible for the great defending the Panthers play this season as they’ve only allowed five teams to score more than one goal on them.

After losing to Virginia in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals on Sunday, Pitt must wait until next Monday, Nov. 14 to see where they play in the NCAA Tournament.
