It was a tough night for the Pitt Panthers, as they fell, 2-0, to the Indiana Hoosiers at the College Cup in Cary, NC on Friday.

Pitt vs Indiana: Twitter Reaction
Still so much to be proud of about Pitt Soccer. Jay Vidovich has built a national championship-caliber program. 3 straight elite eights, 2/3 College Cups. These tournaments are largely random. Program is defined by consistency and sustained success, not Final Four losses. #H2P

@PittATHLETICS_ men’s soccer National Semifinalist, that’s a hell of a season! Women’s volleyball, Sun Bowl, @Pitt_LykeAD is the best AD in the ACC, maybe in the whole NCAA!

Making Pittsburgh proud. A final four is no joke. Pitt has quickly built an elite soccer program on top of the hill, the trophy is coming home soon. https://t.co/C8OxSUjqGR

I say it every year now when this disappointing time hits. But it’s amazing what Jay & staff have done with @Pitt_MSOC from how bad the program was.
Congrats to them… we’ve come a long way from Founders Field. #H2P https://t.co/xeW7vtGEEf

It was a good game despite the score. Maybe todays World Cup matches got me dreaming I kept thinking Pitt would score 2 in the final 10 minutes. I think IU gets star 9 this year.

How incredible has JT Harms and this Indiana defense been during this tournament run?
4 matches, zero goals allowed in the NCAA Tournament. 360 minutes of clean sheet soccer. #iums

“I did this same press conference two years ago when we lost to the same opponent. I said ‘Pitt soccer is here to stay.’ I think we’ve proved that.”
The Panthers concluded another successful season this evening with a 2-0 loss to Indiana. My story: https://t.co/bJDSIKF29Z

For an astonishing 17th time, Indiana men's soccer team will play for an NCAA national championship after blanking Pitt 2-0. With 8 national titles, I think this team adds a 9th star to the glorious history books of the most prolific fútbol program in NCAA history. #iubb #iums

In Pitt’s defense that was still a pretty good shot. Shouldn’t have gotten it but there was a heavy helping of luck on that one.

54'
Pittsburgh get away with one here, as Yanis Leerman seemingly takes out Ryan Wittenbrink without making contact with the ball. However the referee doesn't agree, and awards a corner kick, which eventually is cleared by Pitt. #CollegeSoccer #NCAASoccer

Pitt tends to give its share of 'professional' fouls, but this 9-0 foul stat clearly showing that the Panthers are being are having trouble slowing down the Hoosiers in transition. #MCollegeCup @pghsoccernow

14' – Indiana Goal!
After Pitt's Mateo Maillefaud concedes a penalty, Ryan Wittenbrink's PK is saved by Joe van der Sar, but it falls right back to Wittenbrink who easily taps it into the goal. 1-0 Indiana.#CollegeSoccer #NCAASoccer

Pitt @Pitt_MSOC watches the Syracuse-Creighton game before they prepare for Indiana.
Syracuse is up 1-0. If Pitt and Syracuse win, it would be a big rivalry matchup in the College Cup final.@pghsoccernow pic.twitter.com/SYlUDYKNEd
