Twitter Reaction: Hounds highlight momentous night at Highmark Stadium with commanding win

It was a momentous night of soccer at Highmark Stadium, as the Riverhounds SC defeated Detroit City FC, 2-0, before a spillover crowd of 6,099 fans.

The match was highlighted by the Riverhounds’ impressive performance, as they raced out to a 2-0 lead in the first half, then held on for the victory.

PSN’s Colton Coreschi also caught post match reaction from Hounds’ Head Coach Bob Lilley and defender Pat Hogan, who scored the match’s opening goal in the first half.

The evening also marked a special announcement from Riverhounds SC President Jeff Garner, who shared before the crowd as they were settling into their seats right before kickoff, that they will be launching a USL W League club, beginning in 2025.

Additionally, when the match reached the 54th minute, Hounds veteran midfielder Kenardo Forbes became the USL Championship’s all-time leader in minutes played, adding to his impressive list of accomplishments and milestones, which includes being the league’s all-time assists leader and the club’s all-time leader in appearances and minutes played.
