Under the direction of returning coach Bruce Arena, the U.S. Men’s National team will be wrapping up its January camp and friendly schedule this Friday when they take on a Jamaican team that features a pair of players that starred for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in recent years.
Jamaica’s roster will include both Ryan Thompson (St. Louis FC, USL) and Sergio Campbell (currently unsigned) in the first match-up against the USMNT since defeating the Red, White and Blue in the 2015 Gold Cup Semifinal.
After being drafted first by Columbus Crew in 2015 MLS SuperDraft, Campbell played the 2016 season with the Hounds, anchoring the back line, and was arguably one of the team’s best players.  Campbell is currently not signed by any club.
Thompson, a goalkeeper, remains under contract with St. Louis FC, after playing with the Hounds in 2015 when he also helped lead the Reggae Boyz to the Gold Cup Final.
After last year’s CONCACAF World Cup early qualifying round, the Reggae Boyz didn’t qualify for the Hexagonal, resulting in the ouster of German Winfried Schaefer as national team coach.  Jamaica will be coached by former star player Theodore Whitmore.
Jamaica Roster:
GOALKEEPERS: Andre Blake (Philadelphia Union), Ryan Thompson (Saint Louis FC).

DEFENDERS: Sergio Campbell (no club), Oniel Fisher (Seattle Sounders), Rosario Harriott (Harbour View FC), Kevon Lambert (Montego Bay United), Kemar Lawrence (New York Red Bulls), Damion Lowe (Tampa Bay Rowdies), Alvas Powell (Portland Timbers), Ladale Richie (Montego Bay United).
MIDFIELDERS: Dwayne Ambursley (Montego Bay United), Michael Binns (Portmore United), Ewan Grandison (Portmore United), Omar Holness (Real Salt Lake), Je-Vaughn Watson (New England Revolution).
FORWARDS: Cory Burke (Bethlehem Steel), Jourdaine Fletcher (Montego Bay United), Owayne Gordon (Montego Bay United), Shamar Nicholson (Boys’ Town), Romario Williams (Atlanta United).
