Full slate of area college action on tap as men begin regular season play

This weekend marks the official start of the men’s college soccer season — so all of our area men’s and women’s teams will be in action on Friday and through the weekend.

Zac Weiss will be there for Duquesne women’s home opener at Rooney Field tonight as they take on Jacksonville.

The Pitt men open against Colgate tonight as part of a women’s and men’s double header at Ambrose Urbanic Field that begins at 5 p.m. with Pitt women looking to extend its early season win steak to three games against Kent State.

Friday’s games for Pitt’s teams will be a part of Pitt’s Block Party on the Hill celebration as the soccer teams as well as the women’s volleyball program are in action.

The Pitt men then return to action with a road contest at Delaware on Monday.

Robert Morris’ men will host Canisius while the women’s will be in Albany, NY to take on the Canisius too.
