Pitt’s Bryce Washington earns multiple Team of the Week accolades

Pitt senior defender Bryce Washington was named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week and College Soccer News Men’s Team of the Week for his performance against Duquesne on Saturday.

Washington scored the lone goal of the game via penalty kick in the 36th minute, guiding Pitt to a 1-0 victory over the Dukes for its first win of the spring campaign and eighth this season (8-1).

The goal was the second of the season for the Atlanta, Ga., native and fourth of his career. It is also the second time this season Washington has been honored by TopDrawerSoccer and College Soccer News, earning Team of the Week in both respective outlets in October of 2020.

Washington’s TopDrawerSoccer honor is the tenth this season for Pitt, while the College Soccer News accolade is the eighth.
