Steel City FC plays FC Buffalo to scoreless draw, keep hold on USL League Two Great Forest Division top spot

Steel City FC men’s first team shared the points with FC Buffalo in a rematch between the teams at the top of USL League Two Great Forest Division standings on Wednesday night at Founders Field.

With this result, Steel City (6W-1L-3D, 21 points) keeps a stronghold at the top of the division, holding a four-point edge over second place FC Buffalo (5W-3L-2D, 17 points).

Both clubs have two matches remaining, while third place Toledo Villa FC (15 points), has three matches remaining including Sunday’s third go-around vs Steel City.  That match will be played at Founders Field (7 p.m.).   A positive result in that contest for Steel City, will put the Pittsburgh side in strong position to capture its third division title and a postseason berth in as many years and its first while competing in USL League Two.
