High School Girls Soccer Photo Gallery: Pine-Richland rolls past Allderdice, 4-0

Pine-Richland showed why they’re one of the top contenders in WPIAL Girls Class 4A with a dominant effort, defeating Allderdice in a non-section, WPIAL vs City League match at Pine-Richland Stadium on Wednesday night.

Matt Popchock provided the play-by-play on live stream on Pittsburgh Soccer Now‘s YouTube Channel while Ed Thompson captured images from the contest which can be found here in the photo gallery below.

With the win on Senior Night, the Rams (13-2-1 overall) boosted its chances to earn a top four seed and potentially a first-round bye in the upcoming WPIAL Class 4A playoffs.  (In this week’s PSN’s Playoff Projections, P-R is calculated as a 4-seed).

Emme Kline got the Rams going with a goal in the third minute, while Molly Baker bagged a brace, and Aubree Bennett also scored early in the 2nd half to salt away the seniors’ 13th win overall.

The shutout of Allderdice was Pine-Richland’s 12th clean sheet of the season.  Even more impressive, the Rams have surrendered four goals in 16 matches in all competitions.

The Dragons (8-6-0 overall) are still in strong position to qualify for the PIAA playoffs as representative from Pittsburgh’s City League (PIAA District 8), as the program, which played a heavy non-conference schedule against WPIAL opponents this season, is still in the hunt of its first-ever State playoff victory.
