The Hounds are coming off an impressive 2-0 blanking of the Tampa Bay Rowdies to end the month of June. Improving to 2-0-1 when scoring two or more goals this season, the club will face a tough test in search of for similar results against the Charlotte Independence, who are unbeaten in their last four, conceding only two goals during that stretch.
These clubs have already met once this season, battling to a 1-1 draw at Winthrop University in April and marking only the second time Pittsburgh has taken points against Charlotte in six tries all-time (0-4-2).
