Battling Beadling ’03 boys reach USYS final again; fall to Las Vegas

For the third straight year, the Beadling 03 boys played for a USYS National Championship in the final on Sunday in Overland Park, KS.

What’s been impressive about this year’s run this week in Kansas for this group, is that they’ve bounced back from a tournament opening loss earlier in the week to Las Vegas Sports Academy, 3-0.

With a chance to avenge that loss, as they faced Las Vegas in the final, but fell 2-0.

Beadling earned back-to-back 3-1 wins in pool play vs Seattle and Milwaukee to secure a place in the semifinals.

Joseph Fonagy sparked the offense in both wins, recording a brace in both games.

On Saturday morning, the Beadling boys rallied for come-from-behind 2-1 win vs FC Dallas, to reach the final for the third straight year.
