WPIAL boys soccer semifinals – final scoreboard

Tickets will be punched to the WPIAL Boys soccer finals as the ‘Final Four’ in each of the four classifications will be played on Saturday.

The boys finals are all set!

• 4A – Canon-McMillan vs Mt. Lebanon
• 3A – Franklin Regional vs West Allegheny
• 2A – Deer Lakes vs Quaker Valley
• 1A – Greensburg Central Catholic vs Winchester Thurston

All Finals matches will be played at Highmark Stadium. Dates and times will be finalized on Tuesday.

Preview: Quaker Valley, Shady Side meet yet again

John Krysinsky and Ed Thompson will be at North Allegheny to cover the Shady Side Academy vs Quaker Valley showdown, that will be a rematch of the past three WPIAL Class 2A finals.  Essentially, since PIAA/WPIAL soccer has gone to four classifications, these two schools with storied soccer traditions have met in the WPIAL 2A final each time from 2016-18.

This year, they’ll meet in the semifinals. We’ll provide blanket coverage for what could be another classic between these two.
