In the latest edition of Sounding Off on Soccer with Pittsburgh Soccer Now’s John Krysinsky, two guests join the pod, PSN contributor and Equalizer Soccer’s Rachael Kriger and Steel City FC midfielder and elder statesmen, Nicky Kolarac.

Steel City FC men’s soccer team have completed an unbeaten regular season (10-0-2), and will now await the winner of Cleveland SC-Michigan Rangers in the NPSL’s Great Lakes Conference Final on Saturday at Founder’s’ Field. Steel City’s veteran midfielder Nicky Kolarac joins the pod to share more about his team’s success this season and the excitement leading up to Saturday’s big match.

Rachael jumps on to talk about her exclusive interview with American soccer icon Lauren Gregg in light of her exclusion from being with the Nigerian Women’s National Team at the World Cup.

John and Rachael also discuss Pitt women’s soccer coach Randy Waldrum’s role in dealing with the ongoing challenges as Nigeria’s head coach as he’s been outspoken about the lack of support from the Nigerian National Football Federation and Rachael gives some of her insights on the USWNT and who some of the other teams who could snatch the Cup from the Americans.

John Krysinsky has covered soccer and other sports for many years for various publications and media outlets. He is also author of 'Miracle on the Mon' -- a book about the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, which chronicles the club, particularly the early years of Highmark Stadium with the narrative leading up to and centered around a remarkable match that helped provide a spark for the franchise. John has covered sports for Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, DK Pittsburgh Sports, Pittsburgh Sports Report, has served as color commentator on Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC broadcasts, and worked with OPTA Stats and broadcast teams for US Open Cup and International Champions Cup matches held in the US. Krysinsky also served as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at his alma mater, Point Park University, where he led the Pioneers to the first-ever winning seasons and playoff berths (1996-98); head coach of North Catholic boys (2007-08), associate head coach of Shady Side Academy boys (2009-2014).
