WPIAL (District 7) participants set to enter the field for PIAA Boys Soccer Tournament (2023)

As the WPIAL completed all Championship matches at Highmark Stadium on ‘Super Saturday’, the PIAA Tournament Brackets are rounding into form, with all 12 schools from WPIAL (PIAA’s District 7) have now been determined.

The official brackets for PIAA tournament, which will begin on Tuesday, November 7, were finalized Sunday.

On the boys side, all of the WPIAL Champions, runner-ups, and some additional third place/PIAA play-in game winners, will enter the state tournament.

Below are the links to the brackets and — based on the existing blank bracket outlines — all of the anticipated match-ups.

6 p.m.  — WPIAL Champion Norwin vs Warwick (District 3 4th Place) at NORWIN

5:30 p.m. — WPIAL Runner-Up North Allegheny vs State College (District 6/8/10 winner) at STATE COLLEGE

Class 3A

6 p.m.  — WPIAL Champion South Fayette  vs Kennard-Dale (District 3 -3rd Place) at SOUTH FAYETTE

7 p.m. — WPIAL Runner-Up  Hampton vs Bradford (District 9 winner) at BRADFORD

6 p.m.  — Montour (WPIAL 3rd Place) vs Cathedral Prep (District 8/10 winner) at CATHEDRAL PREP (in Erie)

Class 2A

6 p.m. — South Park (WPIAL Champion) vs McLane (District 10 Runner-Up)

6 p.m.  — Quaker Valley (WPIAL Runner-Up) vs Bedford (District 5/9 winner) AT WINDBER HS

6 p.m.  — Shady Side Academy (WPIAL 3rd Place) vs Fairview (District 10 winner) AT FAIRVIEW

Class 1A

7 p.m. — Bentworth (WPIAL Champion) vs Seneca (District 10 winner) at PETERS TWP

6 p.m. — Charleroi  (WPIAL Runner-Up) vs Richland (District 6 winner) at RICHLAND HS / JOHNSTOWN

6 p.m.  — Burrell (WPIAL 3rd Place) vs Red Bank Valley (District 9 winner) at BROCKWAY
