WPIAL (District 7) participants have been determined for PIAA Girls Soccer Tournament (2023)

As the WPIAL completed all Championship matches at Highmark Stadium on ‘Super Saturday’, the PIAA Tournament Brackets are rounding into form, with all 12 schools from WPIAL (PIAA’s District 7) have now been determined.

The official brackets for PIAA tournament, which will begin on Tuesday, November 7, should be finalized by midday Sunday, but we have the preliminary schedule below along with links to the pre-populated PIAA Brackets.

On the girls side, all of the WPIAL Champions, runner-ups, and some additional third place/PIAA play-in game winners — and in the case of Girls 3A all of the WPIAL semifinalists, will enter the state tournament, which is scheduled to begin on Tuesday.

Below are the links to the brackets and — based on the existing blank bracket outlines — all of the anticipated match-ups.

5 p.m.  —  Fox Chapel (WPIAL Champion) vs Hempfield (District 3 – 4th Place) at FOX CHAPEL

6:15 p.m. — North Allegheny (WPIAL Runner-Up) vs Altoona (District 10 winner) at MANSION PARK STADIUM (ALTOONA)

Class 3A

8 p.m. — South Fayette (WPIAL Champion) vs Montour (WPIAL 4th Place) at SOUTH FAYETTE

5 p.m.  — Moon (WPIAL Runner-Up) vs Bradford winner  (District 6/9 winner) at BRADFORD

5 p.m.  — Mars (WPIAL 3rd Place) vs Warren (District 8/10 winner) at WARREN

Class 2A

6 p.m. — Avonworth (WPIAL Champion) vs General McClane (District 10 runner up) at AVONWORTH

7:30 p.m.  — Shady Side Academy (WPIAL Runner-Up) vs Central (District 6 winner) at HOLIDAYSBURG

6 p.m.  — South Park (WPIAL 3rd Place) vs Fort LeBoeuf (District 10 winner) at FORT LEBOUF HS (WATERFORD)

Class 1A

6 p.m.  — Freedom (WPIAL Champion) vs Mercer (District 10 runner-up) at FREEDOM

7 p.m.  — Riverview (WPIAL Runner-Up) vs Conemaugh Twp. (District 5 winner) at CONEMAUGH TWP

6 p.m. — Springdale (WPIAL 3rd Place) vs Seneca (District 10 winner) at SENECA
