Post Match Buzz: Pitt’s HC Jay Vidovich plus goal scorers Luis Sahmkow and Albert Thorsen on 2-0 win

Pitt rode the momentum of playing before a sellout crowd at Ambrose Urbanic Field en route to its 2-0 season opening win against No. 16 Georgetown.

PSN’s Griffin Floyd was there to provide the match report (see below) and also caught up with ‘very happy’ Pitt Head Coach Jay Vidovich who’s now led the Panthers to six straight home openers without a loss, plus goal scorers, Luis Sahmkow and Albert Thorsen, who each scored dynamic goals — with Thorsen’s coming from a difficult angle header and Sahmkow delivered a strike from the top of the box with some nifty footwork, composure on the ball and perfectly placed shot.
