For the eighth time in its shared histories, both a Duquesne women’s and men’s soccer player were recognized by the Atlantic 10 Conference in its weekly awards as Brianna Moore and Zoltan Nagy each claimed honors.
Moore, a junior forward from Palmerton, Pa, earned her first such honor and Nagy his second defensive nod in consecutive weeks, becoming the second member in program history to accomplish the feat (Domenic Nascimben Sept. 12 & 19, 2022).
Moore earned her offensive recognition with a nine-point effort over two wins over Slippery Rock and Kent State, assisting the Dukes in opening 4-1-0 including four triumphs at Rooney Field.
In both contests, Moore had a pair of goals, setting a new career high in the process.

Her goals at Slippery Rock were a minute-and-a-half apart, her first scores of the season. Moore’s brace against Kent State saw her achieve the lone goal in the opening 45, and later took advantage of a bad pass, taking advantage of the goalkeeper getting off her line.
Nagy is a senior from Lakewood, Ohio, in his second season with Duquesne after playing soccer and basketball at Division III Baldwin Wallace.
As a team, Duquesne finds itself 4-0-0 for the second time in three seasons, and Nagy now has two clean sheets, not conceding a goal in his last 231:42 of game action.

Nagy currently ranks second in the A-10 with both his goals against average (0.57) and save percentage (.895), while tying for third in saves per game at 4.25.
In his most recent shutout, the fourth in his Dukes career, Nagy stopped a season high seven shots in a 1-0 victory over Niagara.
The Duquesne women’s team next faces Saint Francis Thursday at 4 p.m., while the men’s team is at Notre Dame tomorrow night at 8 p.m.
