It’s been quite a season for Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC forward Neco Brett.

The former Robert Morris University standout continues to stay in the race for the United Soccer League’s Golden Boot — as the league’s top goal scorer

Brett has now earned this honor in both Week 4 and now Week 21 of the 2018 season.

Brett scored three goals in two victories for Riverhounds SC, — picking up his 9th and 10th in win over Richmond (3-0 on Wednesday) and his 11th was the difference in a 1-0 win over Toronto FC II on Saturday. With the wins, Pittsburgh moved back into second place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Brett received 50 percent of the poll conducted by a national panel of independent media representing every USL market. Phoenix Rising FC’s Chris Cortez finished second with 32 percent.

In addition, multiple Hounds players earned spots on the Team of the Week as defender Hugh Roberts also landed there for the second time this year and goalkeeper Dan Lynd was on the bench. Roberts won 21 of 25 duels and recorded five tackles, five interceptions and nine clearances, as the Hounds, with Lynd making timely saves, claimed a pair of shutout victories over the week.

The Hounds (now 11-3-7) will next play on Sunday, as they take on in-state USL rival, Bethlehem Steel FC.
