Click below to find the WPIAL Class 2A Boys Soccer bracket for the 2020 playoff tournament.

First Round — all games to be played on Monday, October 26

(all games scheduled for 6:30 p.m. kickoff except North Catholic vs Leechberg – 6 pm)

  • 1 Shady Side Academy vs 16 Hopewell
  • 8 Ambridge vs 9 Keystone Oaks
  • 4 Charleroi vs 13 Avonworth
  • 5 Elizabeth Forward vs 12 Freedom
  • 2 Deer Lakes vs 15 Southmoreland
  • 7 South Park vs 10 Waynesburg Central
  • 3 North Catholic vs 14 Leechburg
  • 6 Mt. Pleasant vs 11 Burrell

Also, of note, to follow-up on this week’s news that Quaker Valley and North Catholic boys teams were quarantining — QV will not be able to play and North Catholic will start with its JV teams.

Anticipated Playoff schedule:

  • 1st Round:                    Monday, October 26
  • Quarterfinal Round      Thursday, October 29
  • Semifinal Round          Monday, November 2
  • Finals                           Thursday, November 5- 5 pm

This classification has not disappointed when it comes to finals matches in recent years.  Last year, after making it to its first-ever WPIAL final, Deer Lakes boys pushed Quaker Valley to the limit in one of the best finals ever played. The Quakers pulled out an overtime victory as future Pitt Panther Dom Reiter hit the game-winner.

Instant Classic: Quaker Valley shines in the big moments to beat Deer Lakes, 4-3, in OT thriller
