Pittsburgh Soccer Now’s Ed Thompson was at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati as the Riverhounds SC took on FC Cincinnati in the 3rd Round of the U.S. Open Cup, falling 2-0 in Extra Time.
Ed caught the action from start to finish, as the Hounds looked strong in the early going. but as the match remained scoreless, FC Cincinnati brought more support off the bench, the match turned in the second half.
The home side eventually pulled through with two goals in extra time for the 2-0 decision, which eliminated the Hounds from the Open Cup. The Hounds are now 1-6-0 all-time against Major League Soccer clubs in the Open Cup.
