Mia Bhuta scores twice as US WYNT U17’s continue to roll in World Cup qualifying tournament

The US Women’s Youth National Team U17s are rolling through the CONCACAF Championships, also serving as the World Cup qualifying tournament being played in the Dominican Republic.

On Saturday, with Mt. Lebanon’s Mia Bhuta again wearing the captain’s armband, the US rolled to an 11-0 victory against Curaçao.

The US had six different goal scorers, including Bhuta who had her first two goals of the tournament as they advanced to Wednesday’s quarterfinal round.

Onyeka Gamero (1’, 40’ 73’) and Nicollette Kiorpes (7’, 56’, 84’) had three goals each

The US YNT U17’s will now face Jamaica, who defeated Cuba, 4-0 in the quarterfinal round on Wednesday.
