US Open Cup Quarterfinal schedule set; Riverhounds to face FC Cincinnati on Tuesday, June 6

Quarterfinal schedule for the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, U.S. Soccer’s National Championship, has been set for June 6-7.

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, who have defeated two MLS clubs in the past two weeks, will now travel to Western Ohio to take on FC Cincinnati, on Tuesday, June 6.

The match will be broadcast on the Bleacher Report App and B/R Football YouTube.

This will be the third time that the Hounds will face FC Cincy in Open Cup competition, and the second year in a row they’ll face the club which has been in Major League Soccer since 2019.

Last season, Cincinnati defeated Pittsburgh, 2-0, in a match that went to extra time.

The round’s four games will feature on CBS Sports Golazo Network and Bleacher Report platforms.

The Quarterfinal round will kick off Tuesday, June 6 with FC Cincinnati (Division I-MLS) and Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (Div. II-USL Championship) squaring off in TQL Stadium at 7 p.m. ET Chicago Fire FC (MLS) and Houston Dynamo (MLS) will also go head-to-head at SeatGeek Stadium in the night’s other contest at 8:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Golazo Network.

Wednesday’s action will pit the other remaining USL Championship club in the tournament, Birmingham Legion (USLC) against Inter Miami CF (MLS) in Protective Stadium at 8 p.m. on CBS Sports Golazo Network before Real Salt Lake (MLS) and LA Galaxy (MLS) battle for the last ticket to the tournament Semifinals at 9:30 p.m. on the B/R App and B/R Football YouTube.
