Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC pulled off its second straight U.S. Open Cup victory against a Major League Soccer opponent, by defeating the Columbus Crew, 1-0, at Highmark Stadium before a record crowd on Wednesday night.
A day later, Pittsburgh Soccer Now‘s John Krysinsky and Matt Popchock had time to collect their thoughts, and reflect on what was a monumental night for Pittsburgh’s pro soccer club, its fan base and the impact the match may have had in getting more exposure and attention for the club and soccer in the Pittsburgh area. John shares his thoughts as he covered the match, while Matt chronicles his experience as he had little elbow room to spare, but had the time of his life sitting in the Paul Child Stand, where he could barely hear himself think for 90-plus minutes.
