The boys are back — as Section competition kicks off  across the district in WPIAL Soccer, as the boys will have their first full slate of section matches across the four classifications.

Among the games to watch, two-time defending PIAA Boys Class 4A champs Seneca Valley begin their quest win another section title as they face an early test at Fox Chapel in the always challenging Section 1.  The other traditional rivalry that kicks off in Section 2 will be Peters Township vs Canon-McMillan.

All of the defending champions are in action, as Moon (3A), which went 1-1 at the JRK Memorial Classic, faces Blackhawk, Deer Lakes (2A) hosts Knoch, and Winchester Thurston have an afternoon tilt in the North Hills vs Aquinas Academy.

For the 2023 High School soccer season, we will be using this forum to provide updates, scores, highlights, share your tweets and more from each day of action across the district during the match day, followed by a final WPIAL Scoreboard to post later that evening or early the following morning.
