Preview
Pitt women’s soccer faces No. 1 Florida State in the ACC Semifinals Thursday night at 8 p.m. on the ACC Network. The two will play at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
Florida State, who have won 14 out of their 15 matches this season, are arguably the best team in the country. They beat Pitt in Tallahassee back on Oct. 19, 3-2, despite Pitt serving as the better team for the first 60 minutes of the match.
Pitt is 0-12 against Florida State all-time and also lost to them 3-0 in the Sweet 16 of the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
Pitt women’s soccer is in their first ever ACC Semifinals after they defeated No. 3 North Carolina in the First Round on the road on Sunday. The win is the highest ranked victory and the first win over North Carolina in Pitt history.

Clemson defeated Notre Dame in the first Semifinal earlier Thursday night, 3-2, putting them in the final. The winner of Pitt-Florida State will face them on Sunday, Nov. 5 at Noon.
