John Krysinsky is back with the latest edition of the Sounding Off on Soccer podcast — as he takes a look at the 0-3-0 (!!??) Pittsburgh Riverhounds’ — and brings on second-year winger Langston Blackstock for an in-depth interview.
The Marietta, GA’s native talks about this experience thus far in the Steel City, shares his thoughts the team’s tough start, upcoming match-up vs the Tampa Bay Rowdies and more.
In 2023, his first season in Pittsburgh, Blackstock appeared in 24 matches, starting 12 of them. Though he came to the Hounds as a forward, he fit into a variety of roles in his first season, including time as a wing back and midfielder, and he recorded two assists in his debut.
Thus far this season, Blackstock has been a key part of the Hounds’ rotation, coming on as a winger, notably as a first half sub in the most recent match, 3-1 loss, at Louisville City FC.
