Pitt (2-1-1, 0-0-0 ACC) will face a Lions (2-1-0, 0-0-0) squad that gave one of the top programs in the country, and new ACC foe, Stanford, a tough battle, losing 1-0, last week.
In this interview, Coach Waldrum talks about the challenges he has faced personally and the team’s start to the season.
Waldrum will not be making the trip, as he tends to his wife, who recently had heart surgery.
The veteran head coach also discussed among other things:
- Following success of previous season, playing as a team with a target on its back
- Importance of making adjustments to teams loading up the box to slow down Pitt’s attack
- Dealing with what appears to be some injuries and knocks sustained by a few key players
